Evidence Based Practices

Our Focus is On

Cognitive Restructuring

We focus on identifying and positively altering assumptions and beliefs about client’s physical limitations by having them state self-affirming statements before and after workouts. EBF aims to develop new positive muscle and cognitive memory while coaching clients to acknowledge, accept, and express gratitude regarding what their body has accomplished.

Motivational Interviewing

We help our clients acknowledge and resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities about their bodies, and fitness levels. EBF’s goal is to find the internal motivation needed to change fitness behaviors & beliefs.

Mindfulness

We help clients pay close attention to what their bodies and minds are internally experiencing as they engage in healthy external physical activities. During the workout routine, we emphasize not judging or criticizing what they are experiencing but rather acknowledging their feelings and thoughts while honoring them.

Developing Healthy Habits

EBF Fitness focuses on boxing, jumping rope, high-intensity interval training, natural body movement, boot camp, cross fitness, resistance exercises, obtaining a healthy and realistic body weight, and nutritional tips and meal prep. We’re proud to offer transgender-focused fitness specific to pre/post-surgery with exercises related to chest, biceps, triceps, glutes, and abs.
