Melissa DeLuca, Founder
MSW, LCSW, CPT

Melissa DeLuca has a master’s degree in clinical social work (MSW), from Simmons College, Boston, MA, and completed a post-masters fellowship providing counseling to veterans implementing cognitive behavioral therapies, and motivational interviewing techniques focusing on Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
As a clinically trained social worker, certified personal trainer (CPT), and registered USA Boxer she has combined her love of fitness & boxing with therapeutic approaches to provide care and program development that will enhance people’s positive experiences related to physical activity and mental health. Melissa is devoted to providing counseling and mentorship to adolescents and adults.
Melissa has been published with a collaborative team of social workers and psychologists in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal (2010), related to Psychosocial Rehabilitation. She had the pleasure and opportunity to work at the Los Angeles LGBT Center (the largest LGBTQ Center in the country), providing management in program development related to HIV health care, and mental health. She also volunteered time in Kolkata, India assisting with programs related to rescuing women who have been victims of sex trafficking. She also served as the Director of Youth Services at YPI, Inc. (Youth Pride Incorporated), the only drop-in center serving Rhode Island’s LGBTQ+ youth. Click here to learn about YPI’s and what they offer.
She has fought in five exhibition fights and two sanctioned fights: Rocky Marciano tournament & Rude Dog tournament.
